Oscar Mayer operated in Madison, Wisconsin for 98 years, going all the way back to July 1919.

For 60 of those years, the massive Madison facility served as the company’s global headquarters.

In June 2017, the entire operation was shut down under the direction of Kraft Heinz.

Eight years later, the grounds have largely sat quiet apart from some basic renovations and a handful of businesses renting space within the vast complex of buildings.

In June 2025, real estate group, OM Development, purchased Lots 1 & 3, and prior to their planned redevelopment, they allowed me the chance to tour this one-of-a-kind campus.
